Easter is this weekend and I hope you all enjoy Easter Sunday.
I have updated the list of attendees on the google sheets page. We need 26 more attendees to make the 100 person commit for the venue. Check the list of attendees. Do you see someone missing?
The zero next to persons on the list are people that attended the 2014 reunion but have not responded or maybe don't even know about the 2024 reunion.
We need 10 more to sign up to make the 19 July 2024 payment of $2024.00 (there is money collected that has not been given to the venue).
Those who sign up last minute...your payment has to be forwarded to me no later than 7 Oct 2024. I will need to bring the venue cash or a certified check for the July and Oct payment.
The last payment amount is $2024 and due 9 Oct 2024.
If you are planning to stay at the hotel, you better book now. There is a wedding reception being held there that night. And the hotel is booking fast.

Update 31 Jan 2024 - Paying the Venue
Well I said that I would do this update over the weekend, but I think that I will need the weekend to get a little drunk.
A BIG THANK YOU...to all of you who responded to the call for getting your payment in and locking in the date!
We needed $3000.00 for the 2 Feb 2024 payment to the venue... and our classmates came through!( my credit card thanks you for not being used!!).
I will be heading there Friday with the cash. Below is a screenshot that shows a breakout of the monies collected and payouts (for those interested).
We have 57 paid attendees now (up from 32). We need 43 more to satisfy the contract commitment of 100!!

Hello classmates!!
Here is the update. I have changed the Excel sheet to reflect those who paid their entrance fee. We have 32 paid attendees so far. The sheet includes those who said they would attend but have not paid yet.
As a reminder, there is a second deposit of $3000 is due on 1 Feb 2024 (see screenshot below). We need to guarantee 100 attendees otherwise i will be personally responsible for the difference...so tell your classmates to send in their payment!!

Hello and Happy New Year Classmates!
Its already the second week of January 2024 and I hope all of you are having a great 2024 so far.
I wanted to provide the first 2024 update on our reunion.
First of all, thank you to those who have made their payment for the reunion (my credit card thanks you too). Those who haven't paid yet... please try to get you payment in before 31 Jan 2024. There is a $3000 deposit that is due on 1 Feb 2024. I am placing the second on my credit card but the last two have to be in cash or certified check.
The third one is due 19 July 2024 for about $2100 (the payment is half the remaining balance). The final payment is 9 Sept 2024.

I would like to bring up a subject that is very personal to some.
We all know that 40 years might have been difficult for some of our friends. And that the last 4 years might have been even more difficult given the circumstances of our country's economy and jobs available.
A few of you have asked about donating some additional money to help cover the cost of admission for a classmate who want to attend but does not have the discretionary funds to do so.
If you would like to pay for a classmate, please email me so that I can know who and how much your total will be.
As always thoughts and ideas (and help) are always welcome to enhance our night.
Not going to sugar coat this ... I didn't have any idea about how time consuming this would be ... BUT I am so glad to organize this. And to hear from so many of you that I haven't spoken to since high school.

Hello Classmates,
Exciting news our date and room at the Radisson has been booked
and contract signed today.
I have plenty of news to share here, so please take the time to read through this entire post for the details on our reunion day.
If coming from out of town:
I didn’t get a block of rooms at the hotel. You are responsible for your own lodging for
this event. Personally, I will be
booking a room at the hotel so that I do not have stumble to far to rest.
Additional Information:
I have secured DJ Joe Castro for the evening and to be our
master of ceremonies. Joe has graciously discounted his fee to $750 for the
evening (and will take tips in drinks…LOL).
For full transparency, I am posting a full copy of the
contract with the venue. The last page
of the contract has the schedule of payments that must be made throughout 2024,
the last payment being due on 9 Oct 2024 which is the final payment.
The third to last page is the break down of the event. There is a slight change in the cost, which I
was not happy about, but cannot avoid.
The original quote only had 1 bartender in the cost. Because, there will be 100 or more in attendance;
the hotel is requiring 2 bartenders. To
that end, the cost per person is $88.00 dollars. This is 1 dollar more that I had in the initial
quote to the class. I will include a new
breakdown below. The cost is based on 100 attendees. If we get more, the venue will allow the
number two be increased up to 19 September 2024. If there are less than 100, we will still
have to cover the 100-person minimum.
So, to ensure that we have a blowout of a time my asks are the following:
· Please Zelle (732-778-7968 my cell number or Venmo @DLibonati) your payment to me by no later than 30 Jan 2024. Two reasons, one I can cover the $1000 deposit that I just laid out. Second to have enough funds to cover the Feb 2024 deposit of $3000. The third payment is due 19 Jul 2024.
· Last payment is due 9 Oct 2024 and I will need to pay it in cash or certified check.
· Get this out to everyone in our class that you know. Not everyone is on Facebook so there are still classmates that do not know about the event.
· I am going to write a separate post regarding those who may wish to pay for a classmate who wants to attend but financially cannot afford it. There are classmates that are willing to cover another classmate. Details to follow… what an excellent holiday gift to a classmate!!
